This Sunday, June 26th 2011, I make an effort to wake up early in the morning 6 plus , rushing down to Kallang Airport to pick up my friend, Michael and we drive straight to Tanjong Pagar railway station. The reason is very simple, to catch the last ride of the train on Singapore land. Unfortunately, we are not able to get any ticket that is available regardless travel to any destination in Malaysia..... I am so disappointing and i can't help to keep refresh my memories for my past train experience. I am looking forward to this last train ride since our Government announced the news to move the Tanjong Pagar railway station to Woodland Checkpoint last year. I simply took for granted that i will have the chance to make it for the last train ride.
Finally, on June 30, 2011 exactly 11pm, this is the day that the last train left Tanjong Pagar station. I may still consider myself lucky that i had took quite a few train ride to Malaysia in the past. For the younger generation, they may only appreciate our cool and comfortable MRT instead of the noisy, wobble diesel enginer train. But this is the real train that i am fascinated.
I start to plan my next train ride.........
